On July 12th, local New Jersey resident and small business owner, Ana Madan, hosted the grand re-opening of her McDonald’s restaurant located on Broadway in Newark, NJ. Ino Gómez, local radio personality, was part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Ana, along with her father Roberto Madan, own six restaurants, serving customers throughout New Jersey.

During the event, Mr. Madan received a resolution on behalf of Newark’s Municipal Council, for being an outstanding community businessmen.

“As a Latina that is an active member of my community, I am really proud to own six McDonald’s restaurants along with my family in New Jersey.  Owning these restaurants in our neighborhoods gives us the opportunity to provide close to 300 employment opportunities.  It requires a lot of hard work and dedication to run a small business, I saw the time and dedication it took my parents, and still decided to follow in their footsteps—and, it has all been worth it,” said McDonald’s owner, Ana Madan.

This newly-renovated restaurant prides itself in taking the extra step to make all members of the community feel welcomed, creating an environment that is both relaxing and family-friendly.

In closing, Madan stated that in the spirit of Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald’s restaurant “if you love what you’re doing and you always put the customer first and value your employees, success will be yours.”
