Last month, local McDonald’s Owner/Operators partnered with the Brooklyn Nets to host the “McDonald’s Community Clinic”. The clinic provided youth from Project S.Y.L.V.I.A. (Saving Youth Lives through Vision, Intellect, and Athletics) - a local organization which provides youth with an alternative outlet to the streets through athletics – the opportunity to participate in a fun-filled day of basketball activities on the practice court at Barclays Center.
Brooklyn Nets star, Mason Plumlee – who recently was selected to the 2014 Men’s USA Basketball Team – made a surprise appearance and led the kids in a series of warmups and various basketball drills, emphasizing the importance of hard work and exercise.
