On Thursday, December 18, 2014, Ronald McDonald House Charities® New York Tri-State Area partnered with Univision Radio for the annual Celebrity Basketball Game at River Bank State Park in Manhattan. The basketball game was a friendly match between Univision Radio DJs and Hispanic celebrities.

RMHC®/HACER® was selected as the charity of choice, and both teams wore the RMHC/HACER logo on their jerseys in support of the scholarship program. Ronald McDonald was also present and interacted with the audience and basketball teams. During the game, information was distributed to attendees on how to apply for a RMHC/HACER scholarship, which highlighted the January 20, 2015 application deadline. Donations were also collected to benefit the RMHC/HACER Scholarship program.

At the conclusion of the game, the victory went to the Univision Radio team, however, the real winner of the night was RMHC/HACER, which was presented with a $2,000 donation. Receiving the check on behalf of RMHC/HACER were Michael Anderer (RMHC President/local McDonald’s owner) and Christopher Perry (RMHC Executive Director), who expressed their gratitude towards the sponsors and Univision Radio, thanking them on behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities for their generous and continuous support of the HACER Scholarship program.
