McDonald’s, rapper Hi-Rez and beatboxer Sung Lee surprise Silicon Alley start-up
For some New Yorkers, summer means long days at the beach and weekend getaways to the Hamptons. For others, it’s just another day at the office – until McDonald’s arrives.
This sunny season, the Golden Arches is giving local workaholics a well-deserved timeout with surprise office visits featuring live performances and food from its Summer Break menu.
The first one took place at the midtown headquarters of LittleThings.com, a site that publishes only inspiring, uplifting and engaging content which they create and source from around the web. Since its launch in 2014, LittleThings has become the largest standalone lifestyle website in the U.S., with a growing monthly readership of over 38 million unique visitors and a 15% reach of the total digital population*.
On a quiet Thursday afternoon, the staff of LittleThings was treated to pop-up performances by rapper/ YouTube star Hi-Rez (“How To Order McDonald’s Like A Boss!“) and beatbox champion Sung Lee (“Amateur Night at the Apollo”) as well as a special delivery of Double Cheeseburgers, Filet-O-Fish® sandwiches, Chicken McNuggets® and Snack Wraps®, each paired with a side of Small Fries.
“We’re a hardworking start-up but we also love having fun,” says Mark LoCastro, Vice President of Public Relations at LittleThings. “It was great working with McDonald’s to give our team a much-needed Summer Break.”
