B-Boys Surprise Ronald McDonald House

Last Friday, the young residents at Ronald McDonald House New York received a special surprise on their last day of Summer Camp.

B-boys from the leading dance crews “Dynamic Rockers” (Victor “Kid Glyde” Alicea, Luis “Sweet Lu” Espinosa, and Eugene “Spydey” Jordan) and “Floor Obsession” (Tiangi “JuManji” Fan) visited the house to teach children the basics of breakdancing, also known as “b-boying”.  Award-winning emcee Jadon Woodard also made a guest appearance to demonstrate the art of rhyme and rhythm in freestyling.

The day’s special guests will be featured at the second annual McDonald’s B-Boy Royale, a breakdance competition taking place at the NYU Skirball Center on Saturday, August 22nd.  The event will feature eight leading dance crews from the East Coast battling it out for the grand prize of $5,000 and the honor of being named the McDonald’s B-Boy Royale 2 champion. All ticket proceeds from the event benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area.
