Univision X96.3 Radio Station showed its commitment to giving Hispanic students access to higher education by donating $1,500 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC)/HACER® College Scholarship Program during the 2015 Celebrity Basketball Game. This year, the RMHC/HACER Program will award more than $250,000 in scholarships to deserving Latino high school graduates planning to attend college. During the game’s halftime, Christopher Perry, Executive Director of RMHC New York Tri-State Area received Univision’s donation.
“The RMHC/HACER scholarship looks beyond academic achievement and recognizes young men and women who have demonstrated a commitment to serving others,” said Mr. Perry. “We are most thankful to Univision Radio for its generous support of the RMHC/HACER scholarship program, which will allow us to continue investing in these promising students.”Additionally, students in their senior year of high school were encouraged to visit www.meencanta.com to learn more about the RMHC/HACER college scholarship before the application deadline on January 20, 2016.
